In keeping with their ongoing commitment to the development of the Geoexchange industry, GeoExchange Australia held their second series of training courses for 2008. This time, the venue was Melbourne and the participants travelled from as far afield as Perth and northern NSW to find out what it takes to install a Geoexchange system.
Facilitated once again by Sonny Hampton, the training Manager at WaterFurnace, the end result was certification of ever more contracting professionals with the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA). The courses covered topics such as calculating building heat loads, designing and installing ground loop, quality control and how to install the ground source heat pump. They even included a practical demonstration and installation of a mini loop on the banks of the Yarra River.
All participants praised both the quality of the course content and its delivery and are very enthusiastic about implementing their new found skills. Look out for them on a Geoexchange installation near you.
