“In early 2010, GeoExchange ground source heat pumps were installed as the heating system for two hydrotherapy pools at Boonah, Queensland. These systems, one per pool, have operated continuously since first switch-on in April 2010, with zero faults and zero maintenance required. Their installation and operation required minimal space and no special provisions for ventilation or noise, as may have been required for air source heat pumps. Their performance has been outstanding, providing very low heating costs, well below other pool heating systems using more conventional designs. This is particularly true for winter operations, with no performance limitations or alternative equipment required due to low ambient air temperatures.”
