GeoExchange Australia Pty Ltd (GXA) is an Australian owned company that specialises in the implementation of geoexchange (also referred to as geothermal or ground source heat pump) heating and cooling systems. We work in both the residential and commercial sectors across Australia and New Zealand as well as select projects in Asia.
Following 12 months of extensive industry research, GXA was founded in January 2006 by our current Managing Director, Yale Carden. GXA has resurrected the local industry which was lying dormant since ~2000 after the 1998 acquisition of the former WFA (founded in 1992) by Origin Energy. A number of former WFA personnel and contractors now work with GXA, providing unrivaled experience and expertise in the local industry.
The GeoExchange Vision:
Our Vision is for geoexchange heating, cooling and hot water systems to be an integral part of the newly evolving, low carbon green building industry.
Our Mission Statement:
Our Mission is to educate the public and green building professionals in the benefits of geoexchange and to design, supply and install geoexchange systems for residential, commercial, government and institutional projects.
GeoExchange Australia’s Services:
We adopt the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) model to most of our projects. This approach enables us to work with existing project teams and provide independent expert advice that is tailored to each individual project and project team. This approach provides us independence of equipment suppliers and installers so that our focus is on identifying the most suitable system for a given project and not one where we force our own preferred products to fit. Put simply, we fill in the knowledge gaps and address perceived technology risk across the project. Noting that we see many great potential projects not proceed due to perceived risk that could be readily eliminated or managed.
